Clients often come to me at some of the most stressful, trying times in their lives.  I became a lawyer to help people and businesses solve problems and thrive.  I take my clients’ concerns as my own and guide clients to solutions.

I distinguish myself with outstanding client service and zealous dedication to vindicating clients’ legal rights. I am a trial lawyer and a Massachusetts and Rhode Island employment lawyer for employees and employers.  I am licensed to practice in the state courts in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, as well as the federal courts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.  I am chair of the Rhode Island Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Committee and regularly teach classes to other attorneys about employment law topics.

Prior to opening his own practice, Chip worked in the litigation and employment law practice groups at Hinckley, Allen & Snyder, LLP, one of New England’s outstanding law firms.  At Hinckley, Allen, Chip helped represent pillars of the New England business community and Fortune 500 companies such as The Moore Company, Cardi Corporation, Kelly & Picerne, Assa Abloy, Planned Parenthood, Providence College, Rhode Island School of Design, Johnson & Wales, Rhode Island Hospital, Butler Hospital, F.M. Global, Providence & Worcester Railroad, Capital Properties, Bradford Soap, Testa Corp, New England Gas, National Grid,  Southern Union Railroad, Amgen, American Canadian Caribbean Line, and National Floors Direct.

Chip attended the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was the Article and Notes Editor of the First Amendment Law Review and a member of the National Trial Team.  Chip has a Master’s Degree in Religious Studies from Boston University.  Chip received his B.A. from Middlebury College in 1993.  Prior to becoming a lawyer, Chip was a journalist and documentary producer for CBS and PBS television stations.  Chip received a regional Emmy award for Best Documentary for “North Carolina’s Dependence on Tobacco,” which he wrote, produced and directed.

Nancy is licensed to practice law in both state and federal court in Rhode Island.  Since joining Muller Law, LLC in September 2012, Nancy has vigorously represented clients facing a variety of legal difficulties in the employment law arena.  Nancy has found her prior experience assisting judges and working with businesses invaluable to her current work helping employees and employers resolve their problems.

Prior to joining Muller Law, Nancy worked as a law clerk for then-Chief United States District Judge Ronald Lagueux as well as Senior United States Magistrate Judge Jacob Hagopian, both of the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island.  She also worked as an attorney in the corporate law department of Baker & Botts, LLP, one of the largest law firms in the nation.  Nancy worked with a variety of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies and large non-profit corporations to small family-owned companies and start-up entities.  At Baker & Botts, Nancy’s clients included ExxonMobil Corporation; CenterPoint Energy, Inc.; Pennzoil Company; Cornell Corrections, Inc.; Rice University; St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital; Marcus Cable Company; Smith Barney, Inc.; Speeflo Manufacturing Corp.; ISI Acquisition Corp.; and Kenny Smith’s Aim High Foundation.

Nancy received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1992.  While at Harvard, Nancy worked as an executive editor for the International Law Journal.  Prior to law school, Nancy attended Yale University, receiving her B.A., summa cum laude and with distinction in her major, in 1989.  At Yale, Nancy majored in Economics; was a member of Phi Beta Kappa; and enjoyed playing intramural volleyball and softball.

When not working on behalf of her clients, Nancy currently enjoys volunteering in her community, including as a classroom volunteer in her children’s schools; a Friend of the Barrington Education Foundation; and a Director and Vice President of her condominium association.

As of counsel at Muller Law, Shelagh brings many years of experience representing individuals, business and municipalities in all aspects of civil litigation. In her years of practice, she has represented clients in matters before the Human Rights Commission and Equal Employment Opportunities Commission as well as in civil litigation. She has also handled a wide variety of cases involving such issues as: business disputes, insurance coverage, civil rights, personal injury, and appeals.

As recognized professional in e-discovery & the use of social media in litigation, as well as the ethical issues involved with both, Shelagh regularly trains lawyers, paralegals, and judges in these ever-evolving areas of law. Throughout her career, Shelagh has given numerous seminars on issues of e-discovery, document retention policies, ethics & the use of social media in legal practice, and the use of social media in litigation. She has published E-Discovery and Internet/Social Networking Discovery in the MCLE’s New Hampshire Discovery and Depositions and “Ethics and Social Media: Some Issues for Now, Not Later” in the New Hampshire Bar News.

Prior to joining Muller Law, Shelagh gained experience working at CullenCollimore, pllc in Nashua, New Hampshire and was an associate at Devine Millimet in Manchester, New Hampshire. She started her practice of law in Boston at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault. Immediately following law school, Shelagh served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable John T. Broderick on the New Hampshire Supreme Court.

Shelagh graduated from the University of New Hampshire cum laude with honors-in-major (Political Science/Justice Studies) in 1995 and received her J.D. from Boston College Law School cum laude in 2000. At BC Law, she received the Francis D. Privitera Family Commencement Award for academic achievement and community involvement. Shelagh has been named a New England Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2010 to 2013.

When not practicing law, Shelagh is active in the UNH Alumni Association as Immediate Past President and a competitive soccer coach for Ocean State Soccer. She also enjoys yoga, reading and exploring the Rhode Island beaches and parks with her family and dog. She is currently admitted to practice in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Caitlin is licensed to practice law in the state courts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Since becoming part of the Muller Law team in May of 2016, Caitlin has represented clients in matters involving disability discrimination, sex discrimination, wrongful termination, and misclassification of overtime-exempt employees. She strives to be communicative and approachable while providing enthusiastic and thoughtful representation to her clients.

Prior to working with Muller Law, Caitlin gained employment law experience in her own practice, focusing on employment contract review and entity formation for physicians. She was Law Clerk for the General Counsel’s Office of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, representing the Commonwealth in license revocations involving health care professionals and drafting interstate contracts to enable data sharing for the Prescription Monitoring Program.

Caitlin attended New England School of Law on a merit scholarship, graduating with her J.D. in 2010. While attending law school, she focused on civil rights and public interest law, interning at the Massachusetts State House, Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders, and public interest organizations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Caitlin received her B.A. from Tufts University in 2005, where she studied Sociology and Studio Art. In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys cooking, photography and design, swimming laps, and spending time with her husband and two young daughters.
