Chip Muller

Chip Muller is the founder of Muller Law.  Chip’s practice encompasses litigation and employment law for employers and workers’ rights representation for employees.  Chip is passionate about helping clients navigate the challenging terrain of the Courtroom and court decisions in the areas of employment law and business disputes.  Chip has conducted over ten jury trials to verdict, has represented clients in arbitrations, and in countless mediations.  He regularly teaches classes to attorneys in the area of employment law risk reduction, discovery, and litigation techniques.  Chip was selected by the Rhode Island Bar Association to be the chairman of the Rhode Island Bar Association’s Employment Law Committee five years in a row and is author of a chapter in A Practical Guide to Employment Law in Rhode Island.  Before starting the firm, he worked for one of the premier New England law firms, Hinckley, Allen & Snyder, LLP, providing litigation and employment law representation to Fortune 500 companies and local businesses.

Chip obtained his law degree from North Carolina School of Law.  At UNC Law, Chip was Article and Notes Editor for the First Amendment Law Review, the country’s only legal journal dedicated to the First Amendment.  Chip was also selected to compete on the Broun National Trial Team where he competed around the country on behalf of the school in mock trial competitions. 

Prior to going to law school, Chip was a television news reporter and documentary director for PBS and CBS stations.  He won a regional Emmy award for a feature-length documentary, “North Carolina’s Dependence on Tobacco.”  Chip holds a master’s degree in religious studies and the psychology of religion from Boston University.  Chip earned his undergraduate degree in religious studies from Middlebury College.
